Thom Cooke was bound, no pun intended, to the world of literature since birth. His mother and father ran a small bookstore founded by his grandfather in the mid 1800’s. Before Thom was even born, at the turn of the century, they began publishing books. That business took off. The publishing business became bigger than the bookstore almost overnight. The Cooke’s were over their heads and brought on a partner.

Desmond McDouglas had been working odd jobs, but found himself constantly drawn back to the theater. He had a knack for storytelling and more importantly, getting things done. What he lacked in experience he made up for in confidence. He was just what the Cooke’s needed.
